Sherlockians! The reunion is coming! I repeat, the reunion is coming.

BBC just released the first official promo picture of the upcoming third season and it’s full of emotion. I just want to hug both of them and punch Sherlock.

Featuring John in a cafe and Sherlock watching him thriugh the window, it harkens back to their first night of investigating which saw them both have dinner in a diner. Brilliant right? (And there’s no Johnstache, yay.)

There are still a lot questions looming over us since last season’s finale which saw Sherlock jump to his supposed death from the top of St. Barts. How will the reunion play out? Will John punch Sherlock?  How will Sherlock take his right hand man falling in love with Mary Morstan? And, most importantly, how did he survive?

“It’s been a long time since Sherlock Holmes jumped off that roof – it’s time to reveal the truth about what happened between him and the pavement,” writer Steven Moffat said over Facebook.

Regardless, I’m sure the lot of us are uber excited for the three episodes to come which include “The Empty Hearse”, “The Sign of Three”, and “His Last Vow”.

The third series will air January 19th on Masterpiece Theatre on PBS in America. BBC One has yet to set a release date.
