Girls Love Beyoncé And So Does CeeLo Green

CeeLo Green’s Gnarly Davidson just dropped his song, “Jay Z’s Girl.” The emcee croons about his love for Beyoncé, but she’s far from the artist’s mind.

CeeLo Green sees Jay Z “driving around town with the girl [he] loves,” but CeeLo Green’s like, “I wish I had Jay Z’s girl!”

The singer, née Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, has just penned the ultimate love letter to the queen herself, Beyoncé. Unlike Drake’s “Girls Love Beyoncé,” CeeLo Green’s declaration mirrors Rick Springfield’s classic, “Jessie’s Girl.”

Instead of walls spray-painted, a drum kit, or fake guitar playing, CeeLo Green’s doppelganger, Little Fun, is seen in his room praying by his bed next to posters of Beyoncé. He croons every fan’s thought since Beyoncé’s Destiny’s Child’s days: “Where can I find a woman like that!?”

The musician’s remake is not just an ode to Beyoncé, though. He also praises Jay Z. “Jay Z is the king / He’s got all the cash / I wish I had Jay Z’s girl,” CeeLo sings.

After Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement, poor CeeLo Green’s too little too late. At least his rock and roll ballad is just in good fun (and promotion). Under his new handle, Gnarly Davidson, his hit single, “F— Me I’m Famous,” is already in iTunes stores.

On the Grammy Awards red carpet, CeeLo Green introduced everybody to his alter ego. Like Beyoncé’s own Sasha Fierce, he transformed his artistry. “It now appears that Green’s bizarre get-up on Grammy night — complete with gold body paint and facial prosthetics — was the public debut of a brand new artistic alter ego,” according to the NZ Herald.

His decision made waves in the music industry. Even Drake had a gold chain made in the “Forget You” lyricist’s honor. “Me and my chain are just here to collect the trophies for ‘Work’ and Anti,” the rapper wrote in the Instagram photo.

As CeeLo Green basks in his successes, he reminds his followers of his one, true love; no, her name doesn’t begin with the letter “B.” A couple days ago, the artist posted a loving spiel about his fiancée, Shani James.

He reaffirms, “Please know I am not Gnarly Davidson although it’s entertaining it’s a joke that I hope you very sensible people get. Let it be known I don’t want Jay Z’s girl or yours… I’m content I promise. Salute to you Shani I love you out loud.”
