Bieber’s “Baby” Goes Diamond

Though not his first single, it can be said that Justin Bieber’s “Baby” was the song that put him on the map. After it’s debut in January of 2010, turning on the radio and not hearing Justin speak of a lost love was near impossible. And resisting the urge to sing along was even harder.

This week that “little” song made a huge impact in the music world when it received Diamond status, meaning it went 12x platinum. The RIAA confirmed that the song was the top selling digital single ever, successfully putting Bieber in the record books.

Following the concert where he was presented with the award, he was seen traveling the streets in a V for Vendetta mask.

Maybe in hopes of getting people to buy even more copies?
