Growing up in a family full of musicians, it isn’t exactly surprising to hear – and to see – that Binny would and has indeed go on to follow in their footsteps. He took piano from the age of six and in time, taught himself guitar and began writing his own songs, spending much of his time working diligently to hone his craft. His first real taste of the business came in the form of working alongside and with several other artists and producers before he felt the time was right to step out into the music world on his own.
Inspired by the likes of Justin Timberlake, Arianna Grande and Drake among others, his sound harnesses several elements of soul and R’n’B with the power and intensity of some of the biggest powerhouse vocalists around. His debut single “Retrograde” saw him catch the attention of both music fans and critics, with mentions from Earmilk and Live Nation’s Ones To Watch. Now he’s following up that release with new track “Deep End,” – which, as a track that narrates about connecting with someone on a deeper, more intimate level, plays like an anthem for f*** boys with feelings – and which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere.
Asked about the song and whether there’s any particular story or idea behind it, Binny says: “Deep End is an alluring track on falling from lust to love with someone. It encompasses the feeling of completely allowing yourself to catch feelings for someone, even though it wasn’t intentional.” He goes on to add that: “Personally, I’m afraid of expressing intimate emotions but this song talks about letting go of any fears and diving into all of those romantic feelings and enjoying it.”
