Bizzythowed Premieres His Blank Check Volume 2 EP

Following on from the release of his Blank Check Volume 1 EP, PopWrapped is delighted to premiere Bizzythowed’s Volume 2.

As a hugely successful writer and producer, Bizzythowed has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including The Weeknd and Nicki Minaj, and appeared as a guitarist on Jimmy Kimmel Live and a number of other shows, but it’s his own music that truly represents him the best.

Hailing from Houston and growing up as an individual inspired by hip-hop and metal, Bizzy first picked up a guitar as a teenager and went on to attend Boston’s Berklee School of Music, majoring in guitar performance. Upon finishing his education in audio engineering in Miami, he co-founded the band Purple Popcorn and established Mean Stringz Entertainment — there’s no doubting he’s a man with a passion for music and the industry.

Following on from the release of his EP, Blank Check, Volume 1 — which, as a Grammy-voting member, he’s now put forward to be considered for next years’ awards in three categories: best rock album and performance, metal album, and alternative song — he officially releases Volume 2, written, performed, arranged, engineered and mastered all by Bizzy, himself, tomorrow (August 19), but PopWrapped is delighted to exclusively stream the collection a day early.

As described by Afropunk, his songs are  a series of:

No-holds-barred hard rock tracks about stepping up and going after whatever you want and not wasting time before you do so.

Individually, the songs on both collections combine to tell the story of Bizzy’s journey to become a fully fledged rock star. Volume 2 opens with “Smoking Weed”, a pro-marijuana, rap-metal anthem. Following on from that comes “Music is The Alibi”, bringing with it a melodic guitar rhythm and a run of emotive lyrics. Next is  “All The Way”; its attention focuses on fake friends, fast women and dedicated to the debauchery of rock star life. Finally, “All Along” returns to Bizzy’s more emotional side, as he vents unashamedly about a year of loss, opportunity, relationships, and how it took him exactly where he wanted to be all along.
