What do you get when you put together an American Idol, a beer drinking country singing realty TV coaching star and a show business manager? You get Kelly Clarkson being married to Brandon Blackstock at a wedding ceremony being officiated by Blake Shelton. Duh, everyone knows that. Just kidding, but really, it’s the fairytale we’ve all been waiting to happy, the queen of the break up songs got engaged last year, and the countdown was on for Clarkson to walk down the isle.
Not only did Blake set the two up, he will be master of ceremonies at their wedding later this year. “He’s not only singing, he’s marrying us,” Clarkson told Entertainment Tonight at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, referring to the country singer as “Reverend Blake.” “He totally is, he’s done it before with people.”
Clarkson has kept quiet on when the actual date of the wedding is but has mentioned before that a month has been selected but due to scheduling conflicts the date has been moved repeatedly. Also likely to be in attendance at the celebration: country legend Reba McEntire, who is married to Blackstock’s father, Narvel Blackstock, who happens to be Clarkson’s manager.
