Apologies to his fans, but Aaron Paul is now officially taken.
The Breaking Bad star and his longtime girlfriend Lauren Parsekian were married Sunday in Malibu, California. The two met at a Coachella Valley Music Festival several years ago and became engaged on New Year’s Eve just a short time later after Paul “begged” her for her hand. “It’s just this little courtyard outside of this hotel, and we were just dancing to Edith Piaf by ourselves on New Year’s and then I begged her to marry me,” he commented to GQ.
And in seemingly non-coincidental timing, the couple hosted an intimate reception with a 1920s theme, mimicking The Great Gatsby. The guests were asked to dress appropriately, and so the party was filled with everything from fringe to headpieces to pearls from head to toe. Mimes and men and women on stilts surprised guests for a bit of reception entertainment. Parsekian, who is co-CEO of Finding Kind Productions, and Paul also provided the attendees with masquerade masks at the reception to complete the party theme.
The only hiccup in the ceremony was singer Ellie Goulding’s inability to attend because of her touring schedule. Paul tweeted to her a month earlier asking if she would be willing to perform. However, her absence did not set back any aspect of the event, as it seems that everyone had an amazing time.
Most importantly, the couple seems to be head over heels with one another. Paul told GQ that “She’s the greatest woman that has ever existed. No offense to other women on the planet, but she is hands down the best. I am the luckiest man on the planet.”
We wish them the best of luck and the happiest of days ahead.
