Bree New Moon Reflects On Her Early 20’s Through New EP ‘A Flower Blooms’

“‘A Flower Blooms’ is such a strong representation of my relationship with myself..”

Often, we wish someone were there to help us figure it out and guide us on the journey we call life. Bree New Moon addresses these very growing pains on her upcoming EP, ‘A Flower Blooms’, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere. In continuation of the wildly relatable hit “Young and Reckless,” her EP tells the whole story of your twenty-somethings and all of the struggles and successes that come with it; something many listeners will no doubt be able to relate to.

Credited as a “100 percenter,” Bree wrote, produced, and performed everything off her new EP. Her passion and work ethic helped her deliver a beautiful contemporary R&B sound with youthful pop synths. Inspired by a flower’s lifespan, Bree compares the transitional period from youth to young adulthood effortlessly. She says that while a flower takes time to grow, it is often only noticed after it blooms, which seems to happen overnight. She sees distinct parallels to her own life and that of a flower. While it was a long and winding road, it all seems to have come together in perfect timing.

Asked to detail the personal story to and behind the collection, Bree says: “‘A Flower Blooms’ is such a strong representation of my relationship with myself and to the world over the past decade of my life. Some of these songs began taking form 7 years ago while others are only a few months old. It is so liberating to finally be putting out a body of work as a human and an artist who is just starting to get a grip on who I am and who I want to be.”
