The US debut of Little Mix’s first album DNA has broken a US chart record set by the Spice Girls back in 1997.
Little Mix has become the first British girl group to debut within the Top 5 on the US Billboard 200 with their first album.
The previous record was set by the Spice Girls when their debut album, “Spice”, landed at number six on the charts. DNA is sitting at number four.
During its opening week, the Little Mix cd sold 50,109 copies.

The new British girl band has been getting a lot of publicity lately; their single “Wings” was featured on both Glee and American Idol. The girls will also perform as a part of Good Morning America’s summer concert on June 7th.
