Among Kinky Boots 13 nominations is one for Cyndi Lauper who wrote the show’s (her first Broadway musical) music and lyrics. And while the four young ladies that play Matilda weren’t eligible for a Tony nomination, they will be honored with a Tony for excellence in theater.

In the play category, the revival of Clifford Odets’ Golden Boy had 8 and the late Nora Ephron’s play Lucky Guy received 6, which includes a Lead Actor nod for Tom Hanks.
