Broadway's Finding Neverland is about ready to receive a new leading man.
The hit Broadway show will welcome On The Town Tony nominated actor Tony Yazbeck to the company. Yazbeck will succeed Glee alum Matthew Morrison in the role of J.M. Barrie in the production.
Yazbeck will take over the role beginning Tuesday January 26th. While Morrison's final performance will take place Sunday, January 24th. Both actors will play opposite Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) as he returns to the show on January 19th as Charles Frohman/Captain Hook.
The show opened back in April of 2014 after a trial run and has since taken the Broadway scene by storm. The production is directed by Diane Paulus, score by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy and book by James Graham.
The show is based around the friendship between playwright J.M. Barrie and Sylvia Llewelyn Davis, a widowed mother of four boys who inspired the beloved Peter Pan tale. A film version was released in 2004, starring Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet and Dustin Hoffman.
