Brown Bones Drops New Single “Arjanine”

“The main inspiration for the song itself is great loss and the healing process afterwards.”

Singer-songwriter Brown Bones is the alter ego of the esteemed producer and multi-talented musician Andrew Moon Bain. Best known for his productions with Zion I Kings, Moon has also worked and collaborated with celebrated artists like Diplo, Snoop Dogg, Chronixx and Blakkamoore to name a few. Brown Bones will release his debut self-titled album in Late August, but prior to its release, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere his latest single “Arjanine” and the video.

A truly illustrious storyteller, Bones pulls songs from a myriad of life experiences. Hitting on the nerve of painful losses, peaceful passages, twilight battles and passionate swells, the beautifully haunting “Arjanine” is a gorgeous song that came from the ethereal plane and puts perspective on the adage time heals all wounds. Its intimate acoustic production rolls out the red carpet for Bones’ passionate vocals to shine through, while the tear-jerking video, created by Yue Wang, depicts the captivating and heartfelt message that Bones aims to tell with the song.

Asked about the creative process to and behind “Arjanine”, Bones says: “The main inspiration for the song itself is great loss and the healing process afterwards. Trying to reconcile drastic life changes, losing and staying positive through that challenge. It is about a near death experience and our lives were spared. So, that occurrence gave me a sense of purpose and the song was a gift to share that experience. In my life, I had just been in a pretty bad motorcycle accident with my lady at the time in the Dominican Republic. We got hit by a car while driving on the side of the highway. It all happened so fast, we ended up being air-lifted out of the country, back home to NYC’s Mt. Sinai Hospital. It was a couple months later, during the recovery stages, that the song came to me in a dream. I woke out of the dream and wrote it pronto, The song title, lyrics, chords… everything; in about 20-30 minutes.”
