Sylvester Stallone tweeted earlier today that Bruce Willis is out of the next The Expendables film. However, we’ve got good news and apparently Harrison Ford is in. It’s still unclear if Ford will play Willis’ character or if he will be given a new one, but Stallone said he “has been waiting years” to working with Ford. But not everything is as nice as it seems. Not long after the first tweet, Stallone followed the news with another one that seems to be aimed at Willis: “Greedy and lazy… a sure formula for career failure”. Whoops.
Patrick Hughes [Red Hill] is set to direct the sequel, with a cast that includes Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage, Wesley Snipes, Kellan Lutz, and Milla Jovovich.
Rumor has it Mel Gibson will be playing the villain but no confirmation has been received yet.
The Expendables 3 will be released August next year.
