BVDMIND (pronounced badmind), better known as Eric Teixiera, just dropped his debut track, “Feel Alive“. The debut track comes as a first big release since parting ways from a group in which he was in, FYNX, in which he released a handful of projects with. Now not limiting himself to any labels, Eric, aka BVDMIND is branching out on his own and he is doing so independently.
“BVDMIND is the embodiment of all my emotions at a rather extreme level — like, personified and honesty. I’m an 18 year old musician who loves to write, record, produce, and perform all of my music independently. & it all starts within my bedroom…
… I’ve been making music in different groups since the age of 12. I use what I love (music) to cover messages about mental health, the things that I have been through throughout my life and I take it and I use it as a celebration… A celebration of who I am”. Eric explains.
“i feel alive when i feel dead, just like every night when the cycle don’t end. it’s a pessimistic rollercoaster” Eric sings. With the uncertain times we’re living in, he gives us a verse that we can relate to, but also gives us that reassurance of “you’re not alone” that we often look to when we are battling not-so positive emotions. Wether that be during this worldwide pandemic, or when the world isn’t living on the edge, this track is a track that you can continue to find strength in whenever you are down.
“FEEL ALIVE is my debut single as BVDMIND, and the beginning of a new chapter in my life. it talks about the battle between feeling alive, or just feeling really good, and feeling broken down and stressed out. I talk about the comfort i feel in my struggles and when i’m alone, and trying to battle that. The second verse focuses on the aggressive side of BVDMIND taking shots at the people in my past who have wronged me. It’s also just a really fun song to listen to in the car at night with the windows down”.
