Carlson Young Joins NBC’s Grimm

The young actress Carlson Young of MTV’s horror series Scream has joined the cast of NBC’s series Grimm for its upcoming fifth season airing in October.

Scream actress Carlson Young has been tapped to play a recurring role on the next season on NBC’s series Grimm. TVLine reported that the gifted actress will play Selina Golias in the fifth season of the supernatural drama and it’s noted that her character is forced to, “hide the survivor of an attack that resulted in her boyfriend’s death. they also add, “As a result, Selina becomes the target of a Wesen ‘king’ who doesn’t mind if she becomes collateral damage in a neverending Wesen feud.”

On the MTV series Scream, Young plays the seemingly mean girl at the top of the social ladder, who turns out to be one of the most genuinely lovable characters (see my article about why Scream is a sensational series, where I credit the talented actress). Her portrayal gives the character more levels than a typical queen bee, and is easily a standout of the franchise. Young has also starred in True Blood, Pretty Little Liars, and The League, before landing a main role in Scream, fingers crossed she’s around for season 2! Grimm returns to NBC for season 5 on Friday, Oct. 30 at 9pm. and Scream airs its final two episodes Tuesdays on MTV at 10pm.
