Carmen Electra Says She Is ‘Really Excited’ For Baywatch Sequel

Carmen Electra may not be making an appearance in the Baywatch movie with Zac Efron, but she will gladly make a cameo appearance in a sequel!

Carmen Electra may be headed back to Baywatch! According to Entertainment Weekly‘s Lauren Zima, Electra opened up to the possibility at the Race to Erase MS Gala in Los Angeles last Friday (May 5, 2017). The actress said she would definitely like to make a cameo appearance in a possible sequel.

Electra said she hopes the movie will be just as popular as the television show and says she has had “several meetings” with the film’s producers.

“I’m so excited about the Baywatch movie. I had a wonderful meeting with everyone and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun,” Electra said of the film, which is set to hit theaters on May 25. “You know, Baywatch was the number one show in the world, so why not bring it back? I’m honored to have even been a part of the whole Baywatch, it’s so huge! To this day it’s still on regular TV in all these different countries.

Although Electra was only on Baywatch for the show’s eigth season (1997-1998), she captured the hearts of fans as Lani McKenzie. McKenzie always dreamed of being a famous dancer and ended up leaving the beach to pursue her place in the spotlight. She was eventually picked up by C.J. Parker as an entertainer for a beach cafe.

McKenzie made a one-time appearance in another series, Pacific Blue.

“[I’m] not in this one,” she said, referring to the movie, “but we did talk abut if there’s a sequel, doing something in a sequel. I was really happy to have a meeting with them, and they were so kind and we’re coming up with some ideas, so I’m really excited.”

Although we will not be seeing Electra in the new Baywatch film, we will get to see Zac Efron (High School Musical, Charlie St Cloud) and Dwayne Johnson (Moana, Fast and Furious) kicking up some sand in their board shorts.

Baywaych (the movie) splashes into theaters May 25, 2017.
