On Saturday, stars from the Hunger Games sequel paid a visit to the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival to promote the highly anticipated sequel set to release in November of this year. Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Sam Claflin were joined by Director Francis Lawrence at the Hunger Games: Catching Fire photo-call at the Majestic Barriere hotel. Then were later spotted at the Capitol City party held by Lionsgate. The other star of the film, Josh Hutcherson, was not present, but that could be due to the fact he may be promoting his current movie, Epic.
According to the Huffington Post, a planned stunt at the party was abandoned due to the weather. But I think the party was all one could expect – flaming digital billboards, chocolate waterfalls, and models parading around in Capitol costumes, all right along the beach. Am I right?
And of course, the Mockingjay statue outside the hotel definitely made a statement as well.
If you haven’t seen it already, don’t forget to watch the first official trailer for the November 22nd sequel.
