So we’re getting to that time of year when we start to get agitated because we’re waiting to see if our favourite TV shows will be renewed. From now until May, TV networks: ABC, CBS, CW, Fox and NBC will all be revealing which shows are being given the green light for another season/seasons, and which shows are getting the chop.
It’s been mostly good news for fans of CBS shows, since they renewed a
massive
14 shows during early renewals. Joining the likes of hit comedies TBBT, HIMYM (The Big Bang Theory & How I Met Your Mother) and dramas NCIS and CSI, which had previously been announced are two comedies, seven dramas and five reality shows. The new renewals for the 2013/14 season are:
DRAMAS
– NCIS: LA
– Elementary
– Person of Interest
– Hawaii Five-O
– The Mentalist
– Blue Bloods
– Good Wife
COMEDIES
– 2 Broke Girls
– Mike & Molly
REALITY
– Undercover Boss
– Survivor
– 60 Minutes
– 48 Hours
– The Amazing Race
It’s surprising they’ve dished out so many early renewals, much to the delight of The Mentalist fans, to those who have been following the cancellation tables, where they predict whether the show will be picked up for another season, The Mentalist kept fluctuating between the ‘safe’ and ‘toss-up’ stance, but now it’s safe for another season, fangirls/boys can give their heart a break (don’t know how a Demi Lovato song got in to this) until next May – or perhaps sooner, if this year has anything to go by.
