The latest addition to the Royal Family was christened yesterday at a far more low key event than that of her big brother Prince George.
Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, now two months old, was, prior to the service, pushed along in a pram by her mother The Duchess Of Cambridge, and, with many of the other royals in attendance including The Queen, were greeted by scores of well wishers before Kate picked up her daughter and carried her inside.
Prince George, meanwhile, walked alongside his father Prince William, looking exactly like the elder-future king did as a boy while dressed in a similar outfit.
The Princess’ christening took place at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate of the Queen.
The fourth in-line to the throne was born on May 2 in London and made her first public appearance later the same day in the arms of her mother on the steps of the hospital. A change to the law regarding succession in 2013 means that even if her parents have another son, she will retain her place in line.
The little princess has five Godparents, all of whom are friends of her parents and not particularly well known by the public.
