Fans of Gillian Flynn’s best-selling novel, Gone Girl are all kinds of excited (and anxious) about the upcoming film adaptation. Admittedly, every time a beloved novel is adapted into a film anxiety runs a muck: Will the actors do the characters we love justice? Will the producers and directors stay true to the story that enraptured us in the first place?

After seeing the first promotional photo and the latest trailer, I think David Fincher and Gillian Flynn (who also wrote the screenplay) will give fans exactly what they’re looking for.
