It’s true that Christina Aguilera hasn’t been releasing albums so often, so it’s always a great treat when she releases new songs every now and then. This time, she’s contributed to the soundtrack of Finding Neverland and the lyric video for her offering, “Anywhere But Here”, is now available.

The Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy-crafted ballad truly gives Christina Aguilera the chance to shine. The big-voiced diva keeps it simple on this one, singing in a peaceful and sentimental style. Her vocals perfectly compliment the simplistic production and the rendition brings the emotions to life. Even when she goes in deep, she manages to not overdo it and sounds fantastic on it. It truly is one brilliant offering and the “Beautiful” songstress does the song justice.

Finding Neverland – The Album consists of the songs heard on the Broadway musical of the same name and “Anywhere But Here” serves as the second promotional single to be lifted from it. Christina Aguilera is only one of the well-known artists that have contributed to it, alongside Gary Barlow, Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding, John Legend, Nick Jonas, Jon Bon Jovi, Trey Songz and The Goo Goo Dolls among others. The record is expected to drop on June 9.
