The actress will now play Charlize Theron’s murdered mother in the Gillian Flynn adaptation, reports Deadline.
She had originally been cast as stripper Krissi Cates.
The film, Dark Places, is based off the novel written by Gillian Flynn. The story centers on a young woman, Libby (Charlize Theron), who has lived a haunted life after the supposed massacre of her family by her 15-year-old brother years earlier.

Chloe Grace Moretz (Carrie), Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies), Corey Stoll (Salt) and Tye Sheridan (Mud) will all be feature in the film.
