The roof was on fire in Hall H during the X-Men Comic-Con panel on Saturday as Fox revealed posters for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.
There are two posters; one of them featuring A-list actors Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender’s faces transposed together as the villain Magneto. The same effect was used for a second promotional poster with Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy’s as Professor Xavier. Although, McAvoy ditches Professor X’s signature bald look for the film, and sports a full head (and face) of hair, we think he looks pretty dashing.
Even though the last film was a prequel that, aside from a few cameos here and there, didn’t actually star any of the actors from the original franchise, Fox’s marketing campaign says they want to make it clear that the upcoming movie does in fact feature cast members from both franchises.
The Mckellen, Fassbender, Stewart and McAvoy will be joined on screen by franchise veterans Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page and Anna Paquin, as well as Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past is expected to be released on May 24th, 2014, so be sure to mark your calendars!
