Comic Con’s Hall H Lights Up In Support Of Jared Padalecki

Jared Padalecki finds an incredible amount of support from fans in Comic Con’s Hall H in response to his battle and campaign against mental illness.

Since the launch of his ‘Always Keep Fighting’ campaign in March, which has helped to raise money for To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA), Jared Padalecki has gone on to inspire people all over the world, reminding them that they’re not alone when it comes to dealing with mental health issues.

That support was returned to him when, during the Supernatural panel at Comic-Con this past weekend, 7,000 people spontaneously lit faux candles and held them aloft in a united show of solidarity and understanding, calling out the slogan of the campaign: “Always Keep Fighting!”

Having opened up about his own struggles with depression in interviews over the past few months, Padalecki was deeply affected by what he saw, telling fans:

“This is so touching and humbling and honoring… I don’t have the proper words to say thank you or how humbled and honored and excited I am…. thank y’all so much.”

Later that same day, Jared posted this photo to his Twitter, giving those who weren’t fortunate enough to be in attendance an indication of just what he was witness to.

As he headed back to Vancouver after the Con, he then took to Facebook to share a heartfelt message of thanks with his millions of fans.

Writing about why he chose to get involved and create the campaign, he wrote on his represent page earlier this year:

“For people who deal with mental illness, depression, addiction or suicidal thoughts, every day can bring about new struggles. Every hour and every minute can seem to bring insurmountable odds of happiness. I hope that the simple message of “always keep fighting” can help to bolster somebody through a tough time. I also hope this campaign can help alleviate some of the stigma that the terms “mental illness” and “depression” sometimes evokes.”

His campaign has since raised thousands upon thousands of dollars, and the sale of his designed clothing items have been bought by fans all over the world.

We here at PopWrapped think Jared is an incredible, inspiring human being and a great role model for those struggling with issues of their own. We would also like to applaud and send our admiration to all those who have supported his campaign since its launch, especially those in Hall H on Sunday. No matter how big or difficult our struggles, may each and every one of us ALWAYS KEEP FIGHTING.
