Daft Punk has set another Spotify record, and this time it’s for the largest number of album streams in it’s first week.
Spotify would not release the number of streams, but the bands new album Random Access Memories, beat Mumsford and Son’s record of 8 million streams of “Babel” last year.
Daft Punk also set a Spotify record when their song “Get Lucky” had the biggest streaming day for a single track in the U.K and US. Since the songs debut, it’s been streamed over 27 million times.
We all knew the song was extremely catchy and fun to listen to in the car, but who knew how large its scope was? Good for the duo, their music is innovative, catchy, unique, and we can be sure that the album is as good as its leading single.
It’s time to turn to Spotify, and see how many more records we can help Daft Punk break.
The French electronic duo released their fourth album Random Access Memories just last week.
