Last month the world was rocked by the unexpected and tragic loss of Glee star Cory Monteith. His mom has broken her silence and reached out to his fans to express her gratitude for all of the support and kind words that were given to her and Cory’s family and friends in this time of need.
His mom, Ann McGregor, took to Twitter to say, “I would like thank all of Cory’s supporters at this extremely emotional time. Your support has been overwhelming…thank you!” Lea Michele has also reached out to fans thanking them for support and saying that Cory “is forever in my heart”.
Cory passed away last month due to a mixed toxicology of heroin and alcohol. Glee creator Ryan Murphy has spoken about how when Finn is written out of the show, that it will deal directly with drug abuse. Murphy also said that he considered ending the show upon hearing of Monteith’s death.
Support continues to flow to the friends and family of Monteith, including an Emmys tribute to the actor at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards.
