Country Newcomer Ashley Cooke Drops “Back In The Saddle”

Listed as one of our Country Newcomers to Watch, Ashley Cooke has proved that she’s a rising star on her way up. Today, Ashley dropped her new single “back in the saddle.”

A song written by Jordan Minton, Josh Kerr, and Jordan Reynolds, “Back In The Saddle” is an anthem for those who have struggled with a breakup and are ready to dust off their boots and get back into the dating game again. While she rallies the girls, the female powerhouse demonstrates her effortless vocals and bold sense of internal grit.

This song comes from somewhere in the middle of heartbroken and moved on. It’s all about putting yourself out there again, no matter how high you’ve built your walls from being wronged in past relationships. I’ve been there and I know a lot of other people can relate to. I can’t wait for you to hear it,” tells Cooke.

“Getting back in the saddle // Putting boots in the gravel // leaving her memory in an ole dust cloud // You ditching this missing him merry go round // Baby what we say // We been drinking and we ain’t // Trying to ride off into the sunset // No this is just and me trying to forget // Getting back in the saddle”

Since releasing her debut project, “Already Drank That Beer,” in August 2021, Cooke has continued to take listeners on her love journey. In July, she brought her and Brett Young‘s love song “Never Til Now” to ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” and on Aug. 12 she released her first new song in a year with “getting into.”
