While most students – okay, certainly those here in the UK- might be content to run for student body president using flyers and the odd public speaking event, UCLA’s Bruins United like to take things that little bit further.
Josh Holz and Daniel Lara from the now immensely popular “Damn Daniel” video have teamed up with UCLA to create, share and publicise their new hilarious video in support of Danny Siegel’s running for Student Body President.
For those of you who don’t know “Damn Daniel”, it’s this:
Siegel is running for USAC President and currently holds the position of General Representative on the USAC Council. Not content with that, he’s also the External Vice President for Bruin Democrats and on the USAC Budget Review Committee where he advocates for affordable student housing – and I thought I led a busy life!
He won the election last year with a video featuring star line-backer and Jacksonville Jaguars draftee Myles Jack:
Josh and Daniel are deeply passionate about the platforms Danny advocates for and have been greatly inspired by him and other student leaders who have campaigned to make things better for students. Danny too has been touched by their commitment and has since made a donation to Hope For Paws LA and Olive Crest in Riverside, the boys’ two charities of choice, in their name.
As Danny continues his campaign for USAC President, Josh and Daniel have teamed up with him to create another video encouraging students to vote for him. In the video, Danny speaks proudly about his many aims, notably that of his plans to increase alumni interactions with current students. You can check it out below:
