It was a gory sight on Dancing with the Stars last night when they showed an accident during one star’s rehearsals.

An hour before the show during dress rehearsals, Zendaya elbowed partner Val Chmerkovsky in the eye and made it bleed heavily.

During the show Val stated that he wasn’t sure he was going to be able to dance, and as he told E!News later, “Everybody panicked, there were talks about replacing me, and that was not going to happen. I was just praying it was going to stop bleeding which, thank God, it did because it’s a very deep cut.”

The “very deep cut” needed five stitches inside and nine on the outside. Begging the question, is Zendaya’s elbow made of razors?

Speaking of Zendaya, the star felt guilty about the slip, but that didn’t stop her. “I already knew it was bad and then he was going through dress rehearsal with blood all over his face. I just had to keep going because I know he wants me to keep going. He kept smiling, so that’s the cue to keep on going.”

Brother and fellow dancer Maksim posted a picture on Twitter with the caption, “Not for the faint of heart…… but @iamvalc is ready!” he tweeted. “Thank you Dr. Rahban for an amazing job!”

Even though everyone was worried Zendaya and Val were able to dance last night against Jacoby Jones, Ali Raisman, and Kellie Pickler.

The winner of Dancing With The Stars is Kellie Pickler.
