Dani Felt Unveils The Video For “Unapologetic”

“…it is also an anthem for nice people who are tired of being taken advantage of.”

Dani Felt is an artist not afraid to speak her mind. While it could be said many artists create little more than unmemorable, radio-friendly pop songs, Dani’s music has more meaning behind it. Take for instance, her latest single “Unapologetic”, the video for which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere. So many of us shy away from speaking out, sharing what we genuinely think and believe, afraid that if we do so, we won’t be liked or we’ll lose “friends”, those both online and in the real world. “Unapologetic” is a call for us all to stop hiding our authentic selves, to be who we are and own it, regardless of what others might think or say.

Asked where the idea for the track came from and if she wrote it with any particular message in mind, Dani says: “I was originally inspired to write Unapologetic as a message to the people in my life who were trying to control what I do and say. I felt so filtered on social media as if I could only partly be myself. I was tired of the pressure of people always expecting me to be perfect. Just because I have a “picture perfect” photo, does not mean I am perfect or even close!  As the song developed, I realized it is also an anthem for nice people who are tired of being taken advantage of. It inspires people to stand their ground and have self-respect. The second message of Unapologetic is that sometimes people are going to make mistakes and that being not perfect is okay. Being human is not about being perfect and being human is a beautiful thing! My intention with this song is to empower and inspire everyone to love and respect themselves and to embrace their imperfections.”
