With support behind her from the likes of Earmilk, MTV and Uproxx, and having seen her monthly listeners rise from 1,000 to 120,000 within six months, Dasha has certainly captured the hearts, minds and ears of music fans everywhere since she first announced herself to the world, and she looks set to see her fanbase grow even more with the release of new single “Love Me Till August”, the video for which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere.

“Love Me…” is a song that addresses the moment you realise that everything you’ve ever known is about to be no more and captures the highs and lows of the emotions that come with and at such a time in our lives. Asked about the inspiration to and behind the visuals for the track, Dasha says: “‘Grease’ has been my favorite musical since I was five. I wanted to bring that innocence and classic romanticism alive in the “Love Me Till August” music video. It felt like the perfect time to introduce this side of my inspiration. I grew up doing musical theatre, dancing, and acting so I really wanted to incorporate the theatrical side of my artistry in this music video. “Love Me Till August” is about losing the right person because of the timing. The music video brought the bitter-sweet nostalgia of losing a high school young love — when you’re so infatuated with each other that you’re blindsided by the reality of the romance.”

She goes on to add: “So many people relate to finding the right person at the wrong time and I just wanted to bring that alive. The video was styled by some fellow creatives and friends in Nashville – there were mostly women on set as well which was very empowering. We did the entire video in one day and genuinely had so much fun shooting everything. We went around Franklin and Nashville and spent the whole day tapping into the innocence of the ’50s.”
