David Tennant is set to return to BBC1 in the legal thriller, “The Escape Artist.” The 3 part series goes beneath the intellectual side of the law to uncover the so-called “blood and guts.”
Tennant will play the character of Will Burton, a lawyer with a 100% win record for getting his clients out of tight situations. The series will show the fallout after he manages to free the prime suspect in a murder investigation.
“The Escape Artist “ is the brainchild of David Wolstencroft (Spooks) who wanted to capture the ‘primal feelings’ underlying the legal world and the ‘twists and turns of the case.’ Wolstencroft also had nothing but compliments of David Tennant, calling him “one of the most accomplished and iconic actors of his generation.”
“The Escape Artist” is set to air on BB1 later this year.
