David Tennant has opened up about his experiences with the 50th anniversary so far, and it seems like he hasn’t had any problems readjusting to his former role. Perhaps it’s because he has gotten quite used to playing a rather insane character wearing a suit (Think Alec Hardy, for you Broadchurch watchers out there).
Either way, in an interview with Radio Times the former Time Lord said that “It is strange being back in the same suit, but it also feels very familiar and comfortable.” After all, he is working alongside his good friend Billie Piper (Rose), so at least he’s definitely seeing some familiar faces.
In the interview he added that “There’s nothing quite like Doctor Who. It has a wonderful excitement about it. I always had happy times there.” The 50th anniversary special, which will see the return of the Zygons and the reappearance of both the Daleks and the Cybermen, will be released both in British cinemas and on tv later this year.
Fans of David Tennant will be able to see him appear on ITV next week Monday, when we will see the conclusion of the thrilling events in his latest series Broadchurch.
