It is a sad day for rock and roll.
Vivian Campbell, who rose to fame as the guitarist for English rock band Def Leppard, had to face the terrible news of his cancer recurring.
Campbell was originally diagnosed two years ago in June 2013 with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but by November of that year he was given the good news that his cancer had gone into remission.
It recurred in September 2014, which caused him to undergo a stem cell transplant , and since then things seemed to be looking fine, until now that is.
On his Facebook page, Campbell posted this message to his fans:

Campbell was supposed to begin a three-and-a-half month tour with his band Def Leppard this Tuesday. So far, the band have not yet announced a temporary replacement. In the past, Trixter guitarist Steve Brown had taken his place , and there are reports that he may do so again, but there is still no actual confirmation.
