Demi Lovato says as much as she loves chatting with Niall Horan, she found she couldn’t stay friends with him…because of the way fans reacted!
When asked if she’s still in touch with Irish One Directioner Niall, she told Heat Magazine:
“Not really. Unfortunately, as sweet as he is, it’s hard to maintain a friendship with somebody that you really can’t hang out with without people automatically assuming that you’re dating…People tweeted and either said really nice things or rude things. More nice than bad, I guess.”
Demi and Niall became friends during One Direction’s first US tour.
The pair were linked romantically, but both denied anything was going on. Demi, however, admits that Niall is her favourite member of 1D:
“All of the One Direction guys are great, but there is something a little special about him. Niall is one of the most fun people to be around.
I know when a text comes through from Niall there is a great chance it is going to actually make me laugh out loud,” she said.
Who knew being a celebrity was so hard? Such a shame that fans can get in the way of friendship!
