Demi Lovato Wants Britney to Return to X-Factor!

If Demi Lovato had it her way, fellow X Factor season 2 judge Britney Spears would reclaim her seat at the judges table after exiting the FOX singing competition last season, according to US Weekly.

Spears exited the show after one season of mentoring, following L.A. Reid who also called it quits.  Lovato also expressed interest in welcoming another pop diva to the panel. “My next pick is Lady GaGa though, she’s so cool.”

While Season 2 of the British import helmed by Simon Cowell delivered solid ratings, numbers were still down from Season 1 and below Cowell’s expectations.  Of replacement judges, a source close to Cowell recently told the New York Daily News “Simon delivered a simple message – forget the big names and go for chemistry.”

Rumors have been swirling that Cowell may invite back fellow Brit Cheryl Cole after her dramatic firing from the show after Season 1 had already started filming. She was replaced by Nicole Sherzinger who departed after one season.

While the only two judges currently confirmed for Season 3 of the network talent competition are Cowell and Lovato, many big names have been rumored to have been approached about joining the panel including Ne-Yo, Katy Perry, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

So what do you think, would you like to see the Princess of Pop return or is it time for Simon to “Leave Britney Alone!”
