Call this one long overdue!16 months after the celebrity couple initially split, Demi Moore is now set to officially divorce Ashton Kutcher.
Although Kutcher filed divorce papers back in December, the couple have since been engaged in an ongoing battle over the financial settlement, which Moore has now reportedly “had enough” of.
A source has told the New York Post “Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi — a lot more than she made — but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn’t owe her that much… She has had enough.” Kutcher is currently TV’s highest paid actor, having earned a whopping $24million in 2012 for his work on Two and a Half Men.
“After over a year of attempting to reach a settlement, Demi is definitely ready to move on”, the source added, “It’s hoped lawyers for both sides can reach a settlement this spring, otherwise the divorce will go into litigation and trial.”
Kutcher and Moore’s six-year marriage came to an end in 2011 due to claims he had been unfaithful. Kutcher has since moved on with actress Mila Kunis.
