Social media mogul, entrepreneur, model, and artist Derek Luh has just dropped his music video for “Jerry Maguire” and it is very… unique. Derek’s video features a cartoon approach to it rather than the typical approach.
Since 2013, Derek has worked with an elite lineup. Derk has worked with French Montana, Dizzy Wright, Wale, and so many more. Adding to the epic lineup he has worked with, he has also toured supporting IAMSU! and Machine Gun Kelly.
It hasn’t always been sunshine and roses for this young entrepreneur on the rise. Overcoming the ups and downs of life, Derek has released five projects in five years, surpassing over 500,000 fans amongst his social media platforms and streaming platforms, as well.
With a following that massive, it is only right that brand deals come through. Derek has worked on partnerships with huge brands like Armani Exchange, Puma, Diesel, Snapchat and more. For this release, he has partnered up with Vydia, known for their distributing system that allows an artist to distribute their music to Youtube, Spotify, iTunes, and more. Luh is also continuing that partnership with Vydia, and is set to release his EP soon.
“Honestly that day in the studio I was like ‘I wanna make an anthem, something everyone can sing along to. I wanna be on stage and don’t even wanna sing the hook,’” Derek explains on “Jerry Maguire.” “I couldn’t think of anything to write about because I had so much going on in my head and in my life. My thoughts were all over the place and then it hit me, I’m just going to make a song about exactly that.”
“Jerry Maguire” is now available on all major music platforms. Let us know what you think of the single and the music video by sounding off in the comments section below. You can follow Derek on all social platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
