Dev Soter Releases “Brainless” and EP details

Boston native, Dev Soter is diving head first into the music industry. Having featured in a lot of epic tracks. However, he’s ready to be heard, himself.

Dev started writing when he was in middle school but it was more rap/hip hop inspired writing. Sophomore year, he picked up a guitar and started learning chords on Youtube but he never really thought of making music, he told us.

Soter stopped writing in high school cause things got hectic, but he then started up again once he decided to drop out of college. In 2019, he released his first track, which has since then been removed, due to the lack of confidence in his artistry at that point in his life.

Continuing on with trying to find his sound and grow as an artist, Dev made an entire project in 2020 which is now deleted because his production and writing surpassed anything on that project and he believed it wasn’t who he was, or what he wanted at that moment.

“I started speaking to Ty, seth (the china blue) and the atherlace collective and it boosted my momentum cause i’ve never really been around artists and they taught me a lot when it comes to life and music. I started making this project the day I met them.” Dev mentioned.

Dev continued, “there’s no boundaries in my music which makes it feel risky. this new wave of genre bending artists gives me so much hope for the future of music, and i hope i can lead by example with this showcase of music i put together. it’s all me, and my honesty, given to the world.”

Soter is also set to release his debut EP, “The Dida Tapes” on February 10. & Let’s just say, it consists of phenomenal vibes that you’re going to be obsessed with. I don’t make the rules.

As you prepare to be blessed by the presence by “The Dida Tapes” and the rise of Indie perfection that is Mr. Dev Soter, “Brainless” is out now on all platforms.
