For all the One Direction fans out there listen up! Simon Cowell has confirmed that the boy band is slated to perform on The X Factor USA.  It is no secret that viewers are not tuning in to watch The X Factor USA, so is this one last ploy to gain more viewers? Could this simply be done by One Direction returning to the American version of the show that created their popularity? It was Simon Cowell who proposed the group even be created. From that point on 1D has skyrocketed to super stardom. It is safe to say that the boy band is THE boy band of the generation. In a recent chat with Hitfix, Cowell adamantly denied using One Direction for further viewers.  He states, “They’re all One Direction fans and I don’t like the idea of data basing and all that kind of stuff, because I like people to make up their own mind.” Although the ever-so-popular group is going to perform they are not going to appear in the same capacity as last season, due to time constraints. Will the ratings improve when One Direction make their much-awaited performance? It’s safe to assume that they will, even if it is a bunch of teenage girls tuning in to get a glimpse of their celebrity crush. The exact date of the performance is to be determined, however Cowell did say "They're coming in to perform I think on the third or fourth live show” With great competition from The Voice, The X Factor USA has their work cut out for them to gain viewers. It is no surprise that The Voice has once again returned to a great audience reception,  Monday night they had a whopping  14.2 million viewers opposed to 7.76 million viewers last night for The X Factor. Only time will tell if The X Factor USA has what it takes to stay on air. Insiders of the show feel like if they can simply get people to watch the show this season the show will be in decent shape. If you want to check out The X Factor, it airs on Wednesday and Thursday night. That way you can decide for yourself if the show is going to last past One Direction’s performance. http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.tumblr.com http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.wordpress.com http://www.PopWrapped.com
