DIsney Drops Teaser Trailer For Star Wars: The Last Jedi | The Last Jedi

Star Wars fans rejoice! Disney has just released the first-look trailer for this year's installment to the franchise. Check it out below!

From the looks of it, The Last Jedi has all the makings of a true sci-fi blockbuster. If its 2015 predecesor, The Force Awakens, is anything to go off of, this year's film is sure to break big at the box office.

The Last Jedi's plot picks up immediately where The Force Awakens left off, with Finn in a coma and Luke Skywalker, the last known Jedi himself, having just been rediscovered. According to Rian Johnson, the upcoming film's director, Last Jedi will mostly revolve around Luke's story, exactly where he's been, and exactly what he's been doing  between Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

All your favorite stars will return as all your favorite characters, including Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Andy Serkis as Snoke, and even bits and pieces of Carrie Fisher's final performance as Princess Leia. According to her brother Todd however, her limited remaining footage will be split between Episode VIII: The Last Jedi and the upcoming Episode IX. The popular droid and merchandising juggernaut, BB-8, will be returning as well.

Already, theories and rumors are swirling amongst the Star Wars community about what the upcoming episode might entail, and fans of the franchise are already hard at work hyper-analyzing every single frame of the teaser trailer. So far however, both Disney and Lucasfilm are keeping their lips sealed about what is to come.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be officially released to theaters this coming holiday season. If you're anything like us, you might have a hard time trying to occupy yourself until the the big day. We're dying to see what's next for Rey, Luke, Finn, Poe, and the rest of the Disney Star Wars crew.
