Disney News Galore; We Have New Details on the

Disney had a busy Thursday announcing new Muppet details and news on other projects they are currently working on.

It has been decided that the originally titled Muppets… Again! will be changed to Muppets Most Wanted.

The film’s storyline has the lovable creatures twisted into international crime antics led by Constantine, the world’s number one criminal who closely resembles Kermit the Frog, and his partner in crime Dominic – who is portrayed by Ricky Gervais. 
Other member of the cast include Modern Family star Ty Burrell, and Tina Fey; it is expected to hit theatres on March 21, 2014.

And in other Disney news they have given updates on some other films in the works, including a film adaptation of the Tony winning musical - Into the Woods.

The movie is being directed by Rob Marshall and has a star studded cast which includes Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, and Jake Gyllenhaal. It is set to be released in theaters on Christmas day, 2014.

Saving Mr. Banks, another one upcoming Disney flick, gives us a behind the scenes feel of the making of Mary Poppins and will star Tom Hanks as Walt Disney. The film will have a limited release on December 13, 2013 and will be officially released on December 20, 2013.

2014 looks like it will be a busy year for Disney with four new films being released.

The films are: Tomorrowland on December 12, 2014, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (a film adaptation of the children’s book with the same name) on October 10, 2014, Planes and Planes: Fire and Rescue on August 9, 2013, and July 18, 2014, respectively, and The Hundred-Foot Journey on August 8, 2014.
