Nashville DJ Feelz releases beautiful new single “Waiting For You” ft. Lena Luisa.

Born and raised in Morristown, TN, John Lawson, known professionally as Feelz, is a Nashville-based DJ and producer who is no stranger to the dance music scene. However, we all have to start somewhere; even if that means starting at the bottom of the music industry food chain. Feelz lived at home with his mother and spent most of his free time with his uncles, whether that was playing sports in the backyard or simply chatting about life. 

After graduating high school, Feelz’s decision to join the military ultimately led him to experience new adventures while traveling. Upon departing from the military when his service concluded, he discovered his authentic love for DJing. According to Feelz himself, “I was really searching for something to get into after the military, and music found me.”

His music career began to gain popularity in his hometown while he was a college student playing local venues for extra cash. His exposure to the music industry at a young age quickly skyrocketed his career and landed him with the prized opportunity to perform with a variety of major-label DJs. In late 2011, Feelz introduced his passion for creating energetic live performances into the dance music scene where his talents were showcased at venues across the United States. With the conclusion of touring, attending audio engineering school in LA led Feelz back home to his southern roots upon graduation; Nashville, TN to be exact. After years of DJing in nightclubs and dive bars, Feelz decided that becoming an artist was his best and most suitable course of action. 

The Tennessee native dove headfirst into experimenting with the dance music genre to create original beats of his own. Feelz pays tribute to the musical styles and producers that influence his music by hinting at various pop genres, such as electronic and techno, along with both hyper pop and synth-pop. Known across the country for his enthusiastic, high-energy live productions, Feelz’s introspective incorporation of synth-heavy articulate drops that quickly dissipate into soothing acoustic instrumentals creates a definitive balance between intensified tension and the anticipated release of the beat. 

Following the release of his debut single “The One” in late July, it’s success amongst his followers and fans of the EDM community proved to have lived up to the hype that Feelz feverishly built from the ground up over the course of the last several years. His latest single “Waiting For You” has already garnered over 150K streams, forming a massive following after a short period of time since release.
