Radio star David ‘Kidd’ Kraddick died on Saturday at age 53. While an exact cause of death has not been confirmed, reports suggest that Kraddick may have died of a brain aneurysm.
Kraddick, whose show airs on stations across 100 cities, died Saturday after falling ill in New Orleans, where he was attending a golf tournament for his charity, Kidd’s Kids.
A statement from the website said, “He died doing what he loved, and his final day was spent selflessly focused on those special children that meant the world to him.”
“Kraddick devoted his life to making people smile every morning, and for 21 years his foundation has been dedicated to bringing joy to thousands of chronically and terminally ill children.”
Celebrities like Kelly Clarkson have taken to Twitter to express their sadness due to the DJ’s passing. Clarkson wrote, “Oh man, I just heard Kidd Kraddick died! He’s my childhood dj. What a sad day. His poor family. He was always nice 2 me from the beginning.”
