The cast for the new Marvel Studio’s film, Guardians of the Galaxy, just keeps growing and growing! The newest addition to the cast is none other than Amy Pond herself, Karen Gillan.
Karen played Amy Pond in the sci-fi TV series Doctor Who up until 2012 and has since filmed Not Another Happy Ending and Oculus that will be released later this year and 2014, respectively.
Gillan has been cast in Guardians as one of the film’s major villains along with Lee Pace. The rest of the cast thus far is rounded out by Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker and Glenn Close.
Guardians of the Galaxy is set to arrive in theaters on August 1, 2014.
