The interwebs are blowing up today with reports that the beautiful Selena Gomez admitted herself into rehab for a two week stay at The Meadows recovery center.

In a statement her rep said, “Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse.”

According to reports, her stint in rehab was right on the heels of her tour cancellation in December.

“It has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first,” she said of the cancelled tour. “I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.”

Initial reports from Radar Online claimed the singer had been “partying very hard” and doing drugs. A soure told the gossip site that, “Her friends and family became increasingly worried that there might be a serious problem with Selena.”

Another gossip site reports that Selena may place some blame on her ex, mister Justin Bieber, for her wild antics that led to her stay in rehab. “Selena blames a lot of her problems on the excesses she was exposed to by being around Bieber and his buddies.”
