Three people were killed and four injured when a drive-by shooter fired into a crowd outside the Boys and Girls Club in Rochester, located in western New York.
CBS reports that the crowd was gathered outside the club at about 11:30 pm yesterday (August 19) after a basketball game.
Lauren Petracca, a photographer for the Democrat and Chronicle newspaper spoke to NBC and said that people were “screaming and crying” and that she would not forget the sounds.
Names of the victims have yet to be confirmed by the authorities, and Rochester Police Chief Micheal Ciminelli is urging anyone to come forward with information about the shooting. He also stated that there were “no problems with the basketball game.”
Our thoughts are with the victims and their families at this time.
