If you didn’t already know, the Lifetime show Drop Dead Diva was canceled in January. Good news! It’s back!
The show’s coming back for a fifth season, opening this Sunday, June 23.
When we left off, Jane Bingum had just kissed a former flame Grayson, at her wedding with Owen. At the same time, Old Jane hit the return button which shipped her back to Earth.
So the question is which body is Jane in?
TVGuide.com ran an interview with Josh Berman, executive producer of the Lifetime series.
When asked about the fight to get Drop Dead Diva back on your telly screens, Josh said that he’d fallen into a depression that was lifted by the loyalty of his fans.
“I just went into a depression and a funk and then the fans lifted my spirits with their insanely amazing social media campaign to save the show. Within days, there were petitions with tens of thousands of signatures demanding that the show be brought back.”
Not to worry. The show won’t be much different because of the cancellation, Josh assured.
“I don’t think people will see anything other than a show that’s probably than it has ever been.”
Drop Dead Diva will make it’s return this Sunday on Lifetime.
