Universal Music Group Nashville announced Monday that the eccentric family behind the hit tv show Duck Dynasty will be releasing a Christmas album. It will be called Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas, will hit stores this October. For fans of the show this is a half-Christmas gift to you directly from Uncle Si and the gang.
The Robertson family aren’t your typical backwoods Louisiana family. They own and operate the multi-million dollar company, Duck Commander, that sells duck calls and decoys.
Who knew making duck calls could make you rich? I can do a nerd mating call, can I fabricate that? Either way the show is pulling in close to eight million viewers weekly which puts it second on the list of most watched cable TV shows (right behind The Walking Dead).
"Faith, family and ducks — in that order — have always been our priorities," said reality star Willie Robertson, the CEO of Duck Commander. He added: "Christmas is an important holiday for us not only because of our strong faith but also our holiday family traditions. We’re having a great time making this album. We hope you enjoy it."
Here’s hoping they use duck calls over jingle bells and keep things really interesting.
