Dustin Hoffman has just been announced to play the lead role in a new Indie film called Boychoir. He will be starring alongside Kathy Bates of American Horror Story and Alfred Molina of Chocolat.
According to Deadline, Boychoir follows a troubled 11-year-old boy named Stet whose complex relationship with his Choir Master leads him to discover his love for music.
Hoffman will be playing the role of Stet’s choir master, Carvelle. Molina is to portray Hoffman’s colleague along with Bates as the school’s headmistress.
The role of young Stet is yet to be casted.
Boychoir’s script will be written by Ben Ripley, who also scripted Source Code, along with Francois Girard, who scripted The Red Violin.
The release date for the upcoming Indie Drama has yet to be set.
